OUTSpoken conference coming to Indy
Parents and Allies in Indianapolis
(Boston, MA) -- The Family Equality Council is bringing its OUTSpoken Families training program to the Hoosier State on March 22. The training, which has been given in cities around the country, is designed to better equip the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) parents, guardians and allies in Indiana to advocate for their families. Participants will learn how to tell their families' stories to the wider public and engage others in ensuring fair and equal treatment in schools and communities. The Family Equality Council is the national advocacy organization dedicated to securing family equality for LGBTQ-headed families. Through OUTSpoken Families, Family Equality Council has trained more than 450 parents, guardians and allies in more than 15 cities since 2006. For the Indianapolis training, Family Equality Council is proud to have Indianapolis PFLAG, Indiana Fairness Network, The Bilerico Project and LikeOurFamily.com as generous co-sponsors of the event.

About the Family Equality Council
Family Equality Council is proud to be the national non-profit organization dedicated to securing family equality. We recognize and believe that the laws, provisions and ordinances that hurt LGBTQ-headed families also hurt so many others-single parents, blended families, families of color, etc. To that end, Family Equality Council is standing strong to defeat anti-family legislation and promote pro-family legislation.
